• Day 1: Phuket Arrival – Kata Beach Family Resort
Arrive at Phuket International Airport. Our family coordinator greets you with a welcome board and transfers you to your 5-star family resort at Kata Beach — one of Phuket's most calm, family-friendly beaches. The resort features a dedicated Kids' Club with supervised daily activities, family pools with waterslides, a shallow wading pool for toddlers, babysitting service, and a children's menu at the restaurant. The beach itself is sheltered by Kata Bay's headlands, creating safe, calm water for children to swim. Settle in, change into swimwear, and spend the first afternoon on the beach watching the Andaman Sea sunset over a welcome cocktail (mocktail for the kids). Beachfront family dinner to celebrate the first night in paradise.
• Day 2: Phi Phi Islands Family Speedboat Tour (B/L)
An early morning speedboat journey to the most legendary islands in Thailand — the Phi Phi archipelago, 40 km southwest of Phuket. The speedboat ride itself is exciting for children — bouncing over Andaman waves at 50 km/h with sea spray. First stop: Maya Bay — its towering 100-metre limestone cliffs creating a natural amphitheatre that children find magical (they know it from nature documentaries). The water here is so clear that children can see the sandy bottom from the boat. Snorkeling is safe and rewarding — life jackets and child-sized masks provided. The fish are so accustomed to visitors they swim right up to snorkelers' faces. Monkey Beach: wild macaques come to the water's edge — children are captivated (guide supervises safe interaction). Island Thai lunch including pad thai, green papaya salad, and fresh tropical fruit. Return to Phuket by 5 PM. Evening: the Kids' Club hosts a Thai arts and crafts evening.
• Day 3: Elephant Jungle Sanctuary – Full Family Day (B)
The most meaningful day of the holiday. An ethical elephant rescue sanctuary dedicated to the welfare of former working and tourist elephants. The morning begins with a full briefing on each elephant's story — many were rescued from logging camps, others from street begging. Children are immediately invested in these individual animals. Families receive baskets of bananas and sugarcane and spend time feeding the herd. Walk alongside the elephants through the forest, observing their natural behaviour and herd dynamics. Watch them wading and playing in a river pool. Learn why elephants are central to Thai culture, history, and Buddhism. Lunch at the sanctuary's organic hillside café with views over the elephant valley. Afternoon: children receive a certificate of elephant conservation ambassadorship. No riding, no shows — just pure, respectful interaction. This experience stays with children for life.
• Day 4: Phang Nga Bay Family Sea Canoe (B/L)
A gentle, family-friendly sea kayaking adventure through the extraordinary Phang Nga Bay — a marine national park of 40 limestone tower islands. The kayaks are stable, wide sit-on-top designs safe for families with young children. Guides paddle alongside, and a support boat follows throughout. The highlight: sea caving through tidal tunnels into enclosed lagoons (hongs) — at low tide, the family lies flat in the kayak and paddles through darkness into a hidden cathedral of rock, with kingfishers nesting on the walls above. Visit the famous James Bond Island (Koh Tapu) where children love posing for photos with the iconic needle rock. Visit a floating Muslim fishing village built on stilts over the sea. Traditional Thai lunch served on a converted rice barge.
• Day 5: Phuket Aquarium, Big Buddha & Kata Beach (B)
A varied family day mixing culture, education, and beach time. Morning at Phuket Aquarium on Cape Panwa — Thailand's largest aquarium. The walk-through underwater tunnel beneath rays, reef sharks, and thousands of tropical fish is truly impressive for children. Interactive touch pools allow children to handle starfish, sea cucumbers, and small rays. Continue to the magnificent Big Buddha at Nakkerd Hill — at 45 metres, Thailand's most visible landmark and a genuinely impressive sight for children and adults. The hilltop views across Phuket island in all directions are extraordinary. Afternoon: free family time at Kata Beach — swimming, building sandcastles, or trying stand-up paddleboarding on calm water. Evening: family dinner at a Kata Beach seafood restaurant.
• Day 6: Koh Racha Island Snorkeling Day Trip (B/L)
Speedboat to Koh Racha Yai (Big Racha Island), 20 km south of Phuket. This island is deliberately kept quieter than Phi Phi and has some of the clearest water in the Andaman region — visibility up to 20 metres. The three beaches (Ao Siam, Ao Silo, and Ao Kon) offer different character: Ao Siam is the main beach with gentle snorkeling, Ao Silo is quieter and shaded by palms, and Ao Kon has the best coral for marine life. Sea turtles are regularly sighted here. A glass-bottom boat section allows non-swimming children to see the coral and fish from above without getting wet. Thai island lunch included. Return to Phuket by late afternoon.
• Day 7: Phuket Old Town & Family ATV Adventure (B)
A final full day mixing culture and adventure. Morning walk through Phuket Old Town — the most atmospheric part of Phuket, with colourful Sino-Portuguese shophouses painted in pastels, art galleries, boutique coffee shops, and street art. Visit Wat Chalong, Phuket's most important Buddhist temple. Afternoon: family ATV adventure through Phuket's interior rubber plantations and jungle trails — 2-seater ATVs available for parents with young children, single ATVs for older children and adults. Guides lead the convoy through muddy jungle tracks, river crossings, and uphill sections through the rubber plantations. Cool down with a swim at a jungle waterfall. Evening: farewell family dinner with a Muay Thai show.
• Day 8: Phuket Airport Family Departure (B)
Final breakfast at the resort by the pool. The Kids' Club staff say their farewells — many children have made friends during the week's activities. Transfer to Phuket International Airport. Eight extraordinary days on Thailand's most famous island: elephant sanctuaries, Phi Phi's magical islands, sea caving in Phang Nga Bay, coral reef snorkeling, and Phuket's beautiful beaches. A family holiday that every member will remember for decades.
