• Day 1: Krabi Arrival – Ao Nang Beach Family Hotel
Arrive at Krabi International Airport. Our family team greets you and transfers you to your beach hotel at Ao Nang. Ao Nang is one of Thailand's most family-safe beach towns — flat beach promenade, calm bay, shallow water, and excellent family restaurants. Check in to your family suite. Afternoon: first swim in the warm Andaman Sea and a walk along the beach promenade. Children are immediately enchanted by the dramatic limestone karst cliffs that frame Ao Nang's bay — rising straight from the sea like ancient castle walls. Evening: family seafood dinner at a beachfront restaurant with long-tailed boat lanterns reflecting in the bay.
• Day 2: 4 Islands Family Snorkeling Tour (B/L)
An exciting introduction to Krabi's island world aboard a traditional longtail boat — the iconic wooden vessels with flowers at the bow and a powerful engine at the stern. Four beautiful islands: Koh Poda has brilliant white sand and the clearest, shallowest snorkeling water in Krabi — perfect for children learning to use a mask and snorkel for the first time. Chicken Island's reef has large colourful parrotfish, puffer fish, and if you're lucky, a sea turtle. Tup Island's tidal sandbar is a spectacular photo opportunity — children appear to be standing on a sandbank in the middle of the ocean. Koh Mor has a calm lagoon perfect for toddlers. Traditional Thai lunch box served on the boat with rice, grilled fish, papaya salad, and fresh coconut.
• Day 3: Krabi to Koh Lanta Ferry – Beach Resort Arrival (B)
Morning: take the scenic ferry from Krabi to Koh Lanta (approximately 2 hours across calm Andaman waters). The ferry journey passes dozens of limestone islands rising from the sea — children spot shapes in the rocks (elephants, faces, animals). Arrive at Koh Lanta's main pier and transfer to your beachfront family resort on Long Beach (Hat Khlong Dao) — Koh Lanta's finest, longest, and most family-friendly beach. 4 km of gentle golden sand with calm, shallow water and no strong currents. The resort has a dedicated Kids' Club with Thai art and craft sessions, swimming instruction, and supervised games in the children's pool. Afternoon: first Long Beach swim and coconut pancakes from a beach stall. Evening: dinner at the resort's beach restaurant.
• Day 4: Koh Lanta Island Discovery Day (B)
A wonderful day exploring everything unique about Koh Lanta. Morning: Lanta Old Town (Ban Ko Lanta) — a charming pier village of old wooden shophouses on stilts directly over the sea, inhabited since the 18th century by Malay and Chinese-Thai fishing communities. Children explore the old market alleys, watch fishermen mending nets, and try fresh coconut candy made in a traditional copper wok. Tham Mai Kaeo Dragon Cave — a spectacular network of stalactite and stalagmite caves where children explore with torches provided. The dragon-shaped rock formations inside are extraordinary. Afternoon: Khlong Chak Waterfall — a 45-minute jungle walk through bamboo forest and rubber plantations to a beautiful multi-tiered waterfall with a natural swimming pool. Children love swimming beneath the cascading water. Return to resort for sunset on Long Beach.
• Day 5: Koh Rok & Koh Haa Premium Snorkeling (B/L)
The absolute highlight of the Koh Lanta family holiday. Speedboat south to the remote Koh Rok and Koh Haa islands — uninhabited island groups with some of the clearest, most pristine water in all of Thailand (visibility up to 25 metres). Koh Rok has a stunning horseshoe bay of blinding white sand and water so clear it appears to glow from within. The coral gardens are spectacular — giant table corals, brain corals, and sea fans hosting hundreds of tropical fish species. Sea turtles are regularly encountered here — children can snorkel alongside them (maintaining respectful distance). Koh Haa's five-island group has an underwater cave accessible to snorkelers at low tide. A traditional Thai lunch is served on the boat between snorkeling stops.
• Day 6: Mangrove Kayaking & Long Beach Family Afternoon (B)
A gentle morning paddle through Koh Lanta's mangrove forests — wide, stable sit-on-top kayaks with experienced guides for every family. The mangrove channels are green tunnels of twisted roots sheltering an extraordinary micro-world: purple fiddler crabs waving a single oversized claw on every mud bank, blue-spotted mudskippers skipping along the roots, black-crowned night herons perching in the branches, and spectacular monitor lizards — up to 1.5 metres long — sunbathing on fallen trees. Children are completely absorbed in wildlife spotting. After kayaking: a long, leisurely final afternoon on Long Beach. Swimming, sandcastles, a final beachside Thai massage for parents, beach volleyball, and a sunset seafood farewell dinner on the beach.
• Day 7: Koh Lanta to Krabi Airport – Family Departure (B)
Final Long Beach breakfast watching the morning fishermen bring in their catch. Check-out from your beachfront resort. Ferry from Koh Lanta back to Krabi pier. Transfer to Krabi International Airport. In the departure lounge, the children draw pictures of sea turtles, elephants, and waterfalls in their travel journals. Seven perfect family days at Thailand's best-kept beach secret: Koh Lanta. You have snorkeled with sea turtles, kayaked through mangroves, explored dragon caves, and swum beneath jungle waterfalls. The island will be waiting when you return.
